The Greater Shediac Sailing School (formerly the SBYCSS) offers beginner, intermediate and advanced sailing lessons to students from 8-18 years of age. Students will learn to sail in a safe, fun environment on beautiful Shediac Bay. The school runs from 9:30AM to 4:30PM Monday to Friday, and sessions run in two-week blocks. Our fleet consists of 420s, optis, and lasers, and we follow the CanSail national dinghy program. Our instructors are accredited by Sail Canada. Students who own their own boats are encouraged to bring them.

Clothing, Personal items & Daily Lunch: Please Ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather each day and for the potential change in forecast of that day. Students are encouraged to bring a full change of dry clothes, rain jacket, towel, waterproof sunscreen, sunglasses, towel, hat and shoes to be worn in the water. We also do suggest not bringing any valuable items to GSSS, these items can be lost too easily, dropped overboard or damaged. GSSS cannot be held responsible for valuables left unattended in the building or the land area during sailing school operating hours.
